It turns out Paypal also charged a fee if you try to pay in a currency othe=
r than your own.

I couldn't see any explanation of the fee, so I don't know if it was a fla=
t rate or a percentage.=C2=A0 I found if I changed the currency to my own, =
it went away.=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 I don't know if that meant Richard was char=
ged a fee instead.

Paypal charges its own rates for a currency conversion though, which may w=
ell be more than a card issuer would charge.

In case anyone missed it, this is what Richard posted in the Yahoo group, =
just before closing it to new posts.=C2=A0 It contains the link to make a d=
