Growing up I was a hip hop head (still am), and I remember first hearing PreFuse73. It was goosebump-city to hear such a fresh take on beat-making. Then I looked-up which label he was on-- it was the first time I learned about Warp. I went on a deepdive through their catalogue, including BoC. Mind blown. BoC's beats were fairly simple (especially compared to their label-mates) and clearly hip hop influenced, yet their instrumentation was super original. Funny how they were labeled as IDM since it felt more like a dreamy hip/trip hop, but I guess they inherited the IDM classification because they were on Warp. So happy to hear new stuff from them! And so great to hear us talking about them again! On Tue, Jun 2, 2026 at 2:07=E2=80=AFPM Connor Higgins <connor1higgins@gmail= .com> wrote: > How adorable.
