Hey all!

Well, I gotta say, things have died off. For me, the "love
and feeling" (sorry, bad top gun quote) has disappeared. Jay
complains about how much he hates the machine that is pop
music and if his last gig in Melbourne was anything to go by
- jamiroquai are tired. Just have a look at how the band is
structured now, wallace is gone - how much energy did he
bring to the band? A WHOLE heap!!! there is no more horn
section. Improv solos are a thing of the past. Where is the
funk in that? I guess all in all the most disappointing
thing for me is that the band has become predictable. Im
sorry, a rock version of Deeper Underground that was tried
and tested 4 years ago doesnt quiet cut it. Having said all
of this, I saw James Brown last week and he was playing the
same stuff he has played for 50 years! and he still funked
that stage like nothing else! He is the hardest working man
in show business tho :)

I still hold out hope that this is a lull. we will have to
wait and see.
