Re: Old School Jamline

Some of us old(er) farts are still around, though Mr. Rowe is still Dad 
to us! :D

My enthusiasm has only subsided in terms of trying to source the newest 
and latest remixes and bootlegs (of which there seem to be far fewer 
than in previous release years).  It's harder to find them now, and 
harder to find TIME to critique them the way we used to.  On top of 
that, the remixes have all been so vanilla that there hasn't been a 
whole lot to get excited about or discuss at length.

On a personal note, my own enthusiasm exceeded all limits when I finally 
got to see the guys perform here in Las Vegas in November.  As if the 
gift of seeing the show wasn't enough, I was given the opportunity to 
meet the guys and hang out at the after party -- it's a memory I won't 
forget and I am proud to have been a part of it.  Most importantly, Rob, 
  Sola, Derrick, and Paul were absolutely great to chat with (I talked 
to Rob for about 10 minutes, which in superstar time is an eternity!). 
Unfortunately, my lack of female genitalia did not allow me to get 
within 5 feet of Jay, but even being around him was cool enough for me.

We're still out here and reading, but unfortunately few of us old 
schoolers have the same desire to talk about jay's untied shoe, or the 
wristband sola was wearing, or the tank top derrick was wearing, or ... 
you can fill in the blanks.

To answer the question, I joined right around the time of Synkronized 
myself, even though I didn't particularly care for the album.  I 
remember the pure energy and excitement we all shared in anticipation 
for AFO... I do miss those times. :)
