You're right that Jon is still a warm presence. But,   
Just as I preferred Yes with their first two (more terrestrial) albums, 
I think that I preferred Jane and Kate when they were more terrestrial 
(and troubled?), and before they became more cosmic and mellow.  

Just as, say, John Lennon's songs were more interesting when he was a 
confused and troubled Beatle, than when he found domestic happiness with
Yoko.  
Domestic happiness seems to be a major drag on those creative juices!

I tried to see him last year, in Albany, but arrived too late, and it 
was sold out. Zut alors! 

For me the only guy effort which comes close to these ladies is Andy 
Pratt's second album. But I need to listen to Tim Buckley. (Anyone out 
there into AP or TB?)
