Oh boy oh boy, finally Jane is coming to Santa Cruz!!! (A few years ago she cancelled a Santa Cruz visit). I know eveyone will clamor for "Calling All Angels", but of the hallowed oldies, I'd really like to hear "The Darkness According to Gospel". In Santa Cruz, Jane is playing in The Attic, a new and really wonderful space with a high ceiling and beautiful wood. No more 80 mile weeknight trek to San Francisco. And presumably no more of those extortionist ticket "convenience charges" (yes, it is awfully convenient for Ticket Thieves to have a monpoly). Two years ago I simply didn't go hear her because of the fees. Last year she performed at the lovely Swedish-American hall and I only recall that the fees didn't outrage me.
