happy to have new Kate (bought at Amoeba records in Berkeley, where  
nigh on 10 years ago I bought the boxed set to replace all the Kate  
that had gone far away with a surly ex).

and happy to have a Mac! I'll see if I can find a Windows machine to  
sacrifice to the Sony rootkit gods for general knowledge.

Today, I worked the polls for California's "special" election. It was  
at the International Center for Krishna Consciousness, so I ate lots  
of tasty Hare Krishna chow all day. I'm such a good citizen! and well- 
fed, too.
