"Not that anyone asked." Well, David, I think it's always kind of implied that we will very quickly share the love (or whatever) with the siblings. Whether or not it gets said often enough, I believe that we all are very appreciative of other opinions. I have grown to love this list. I belong to a few other 'artist web post' done 'on site' thru the 'net, and have stopped visiting them as there seems to always be some immature moron that feels compelled to come out on the side of hate for any given topic. I used to be offended by them, but now they simply bore me. I am anxious to hear some new Kate, it truly has been awhile. Funny, though, or maybe not funny just ironic, that the three or four reviews I've read pretty much came out the opposite of your review. They all felt the second disc, from what I understand, is more of a musical 'poem', lush with texture and those soaring vocals. The other three or four seemed not to 'get it', which is understandable. I have nothing against youth, in fact, I used to have it! But I have a hard time buying into a review from someone that maybe doesn't have the 'world experience' to review something like Kate Bush's newest or Jane's 'Hush'. I know I'll get a response or two from some of our younger siblings, but I don't mean to take anything away from the vital energy that I receive from the people in my life that are half as old or more. I thrive on it, their energy, their likes and dislikes, their 'take' on things, etc. Please don't think me some jaded oldster longing for my misspent youth. Not jaded, not misspent, just older and opinionated!! I'm stopping short of 'curmudgeonly'!! Big love, Ben T >>> <[email protected]> 11/09/05 12:31 PM >>> Aerial: I just finished listening to the whole thing. For me, the jury is still out on the first disc. The second disc is phenomenal. I have been a fan for decades and I think this is up there with her finest work. Not that anyone asked. David.
