Lawsy, feels like I've been in the Siblings deep freeze, but I will defrost
and say that the Triple Door is an excellent venue for live music. The
ownership is very artist friendly, the the service is pretty quiet, and they
serve dinner well in advance of the show starting. Sounds similar to Hugh's
Room in that respect.

The Triple Door serves food from the kitchen of Wild Ginger, which is one of
Seattle's very best restaurants for pan-Asian food. I think its a guide
rated establishment and gets a bit of a celeb clientele--its where Bill
Clinton goes when he's in town (or so the newspapers tell me--Bill never
calls anymore ;-)

Also, it is a pretty small room, so even if you sit in the very back, you'll
have a great view.

My husband and I saw Rickie Lee Jones at the Triple Door a few weeks ago on
a Sunday night. I guess Rickie Lee had some reservations about performing
at a dinner club, so the Triple Door staff called everyone on the guest list
days in advance and let us all know that dinner service would stop before
she started performing. The waiters had all been appraised of this and
worked around it very nicely. Its a very music friendly/respectful venue.

And btw, before RLJ sang a note, she said, "Dinner club, eh? Well, chew up,
cause here comes the music." She seemed a little annoyed, and there was
this vibe that the audience had to win Rickie Lee over, and I'm pretty sure
we did. Who but the worshipful are going to go to a show at 9:00 pm on a
Sunday night? She really warmed up a few songs in and it was a fantastic
experience--

I think you'll like the venue, and of course, it will be great to see
Jane--I'm taking my sister and three girlfriends, so when you see the table
of raucous women popping' off their bic lighters after every song, you'll
know that's us :-)
