I think Jane "made it" in the music industry as much as she wanted  to.  
Remember, she sued to get out of her 8 record Warner Brothers contract  after only 
four records because they wanted to take control away from her.   I think it 
is safe to assume that they wanted her to make more accessible,  
radio-friendly music and more money.  She chose what she chose for her own  reasons and 
that is what she is still doing.  I have followed this woman  for twenty years 
and she has often done things that don't fit neatly into the  norm.  That is 
what is so exciting about her.  It is true that she  talked about getting out of 
the music industry awhile back and, perhaps that is  her end goal.  That 
doesn't mean we need to worry.
