Don't worry about Jane being down and out and in dire need - at the house contents sale she was in her element absorbing the attention of the star struck and having the nerve to correct their grammer while taking their money. I had eyed a few items in the basement (looked like it might have once been the "head office" of Sheeba as well as being a recording studio - or maybe all the studio stuff was just dumped down there) where her "collectables" from her career were. I heard several people ask about her plans and whatnot and were given an answer consisting of nothing more than a smile and asking for clarification of their inquiry. In the end I left with nothing but a bad taste in my mouth. Another reason not to worry is that her recent Canada Council "award" (one applies for it) carries with it a $15,000 cheque. Also Jane's house was not a modest flat as one might suspect considering all the panhandling she's done on her website over the years, it is, in fact, a gorgeous three storey house in a nice neighbourhood near the park. So don't worry about Jane - and this is very doubtfully "the end" - all we hear about is her desire for simplicity and reclusiveness and yet every few months there is occassion for her fan base to collectively say "Huh? What does this mean????" etc. It just means more of the same. Just my take and opinion - don't shoot the messenger.
