beautifully put! >>> <[email protected]> 10/12/2006 10:07 AM >>> I understand that but I have to say that the Carnegie Hall show was one of the best I've seen. I have been seeing her live since 1987 (roughly, fifteen times) and I had seen the show here in San Francisco just a few months before and thought it was pretty good. New York was amazing-Jane, the audience, and the venue all came together in a remarkable way. The energy in that place was palpable. I took several people who did not know her and all of them loved it. She has said that she was in the studio in Belgium and recorded thirteen new songs. I suspect we will hear them at some point. I am looking forward to that. I will miss going to the record store and buying the disc but I think she is making liner notes available for download when you buy music so we can always put our own package together if we choose to. I have loved this artist's music for twenty years and part of what has sustained my interest is that she is ever-changing. She always has been and I just see what she is doing now as part of that journey. I never stop feeling challenged by her and, consequently, I never become bored.
