Dear David & other Sibs,

I have a copy of the broadcast on a VHS tape. But I'd
be hard-pressed to lend it, as I was in the audience
that night. Though you can come to Philly and watch it
with me in our home. Any ideas of how to make a copy
of a VHS tape so I can send you one? I'm technically
challenged, you see! :)

The show in the studio was fantastic, but only about
20 minutes (3 or 4 songs) ended up in the broadcast
version. A quite awkward interview was included. It
was the first (and perhaps only time) that Jane
appeared on a U.S. television broadcast. The other
half hour of the show is the spectacular k.d. lang.

Jane's mezmorizing performance of Love is Everything
is included on a DVD called The Best of Sessions at
West 54th, vol. 1. The disc also includes great
performances from Sinead O'Connor, Patti Smith, Keb'
Mo', Shawn Colvin, Emmylou Harris, Yo Yo Ma, Suzanne
Vega, etc. (one song each). I got it on Amazon.com a
few years ago & see that it's still available there
for $10 and under. Well worth the price!! I highly
recommend the disc.

Best,
Stevik

P.S. Have y'all seen that Issa has been recording lots
of new songs and will be touring this Fall? Venues
include Cambridge (MA), Chapel Hill, Philly (yeah!),
Ann Arbor, NYC, and San Francisco. More will be added.
