No Borders Here was the first Jane album I bought. The radio station in
Ottawa, CHEZ 106 as I recall, played Mimi, Extra Executives, and (I
think) Waitress. I too was obsessed with Mimi for a while. One day I
drove up to Ottawa (I lived just across the border in NY) and found the
album in a shop.
A whole bunch of calendar pages later, we heard Jane perform You Don't
Need in 2000. A beautiful song.
I really liked orchidbau's resequencing of this record (and of the first
record too).
I confess I've never understand the Map of the World songs, I mean, what
they have to do with a "map of the world". Even playing them all in
a
row doesn't help. Just stumped.
