Dear Silencers, I am writing to you to present a new research journal dedicated to experimental music, TACET, and to propose to any interested person a couple of reviews on cagian books. TACET, Experimental music review, will be published annually and trilingually (French, English and German). The first issue will be dedicated to the topicality and the heritage of John Cage and will release in October 2011. You will find here our manifesto : http://www.festival-meteo.fr/documents/intro_en.html In each issue, we would like to publish some reviews of books, linked or not to the main topic of the issue. These reviews are not the usual reviews published in magazine, but really long, critical and well- argued reviews like in any research or academic journal. For the first issue, we are looking for reviews of these books : - Kenneth Silverman, Begin Again: A Biography of John Cage, Knopf, 2010. - The Anarchy of Silence, John Cage and experimental art, MACBA, 2009. The paper has not to exceed 800 words and if you are interested, the paper would be to send us in early may 2011. For more details, here are our instructions for authors: http://www.festival-meteo.fr/documents/instructions_en.html If you are interested, please write me in private at this address : [email protected] We will send to you the book if you have not it. All the best and happy new ear Matthieu Saladin Matthieu Saladin Directeur de rédaction de Tacet Chercheur associé à l'IDEAT Université Paris 1 - Panthéon-Sorbonne / CNRS http://www.irma.asso.fr/Matthieu-Saladin http://www.festival-meteo.fr/documents/intro_en.html
