That Tuwaqaachi pricing unfortunately exposes some of the limitations of digital distribution deals and price structuring particularly when you have a release broken into a high number of tracks but still available individually. Believe me - it was definitely not an effort to gouge fans. That's one of the reasons the FLAC price was held down to the same price as MP3. ************* Dave Brunelle MOD Technologies http://mod-technologies.com/ On May 14, 2013, at 10:18 PM, "[email protected]" <[email protected]> wrote: > I've only heard the samples & didn't care for the singing but other than that the music & his playing sound very interesting. Seems to be very expensive both ways (shipping to or from), but you're right - I notice a lot of stores feel the impact when it comes to foreign orders. Direct sales like what Namlook was doing benefited from having him be able to sell in Europe and the world and have Dave @ Ear/Rational sell in the US. > > anywaym, yeah...$9.99 is steep for MP3, though $6.99 is very reasonable - particularly if they're at least 320 (I know...FLAC, FLAC, FLAC!)! > > Sean - I haven't heard the album yet...any opinion? I didn't care for Masters of None (I think the only other thing I really know as far as recordings) but he's a great player. Super nice guy too. I was thinking maybe this trio format would yield some interesting stuff. > > Dave > > On Tue, May 14, 2013 at 11:09 AM, Jonathan Smith <[email protected]> wrote: >> >> Yes, thanks.
