for those of you in NYC, don't forget tomorrow's Zorn/Laswell/Graves show
at Le Poisson Rouge

after what is alledgedly to be 3 or 4 inches of rain through early
afternoon tomorrow, celebrate the cessation of the storm with a killer
show. Abraxas is the opener. I have not heard their album yet (one of
Zorn's Book of Angels series) but I've heard that it is stellar.

Bill not withstanding, for the next 6 months there are lots of Zorn related
shows around NYC to celebrate Zorn @ 60. Places like Lincoln Center, The
MET, Miller Theater...all over the place. Really a testament to the scope
of his work in both time and genre methinks.  Even though they move in
somewhat different realms, I can see why he and Laswell have worked
together for almost their whole careers.
