I've just noticed two interesting stories about Bill Laswell in Stevie 
Salas "The sun and the earth" compilation liner notes.

About "The harder they come"
"My first single from Colorcode and perhaps one of my best solo's ever ! 
I wanted to erase it and Bill Laswell wanted to kill me. Thank god he 
stopped me."

And in the "thanks" section :

"I thank Bill Laswell for turning down 400k to produce Simple Minds and 
taking my 40k to do Colorcode and also for introducing me to Bernard Fowler"
