i think Eno had some minor connection w/ them as well. my 25 year recollection of them is they were pop-ish but w/ a bit more "sophistication" than run-of-the-mill pop or new wave stuff of the time.

btw - I missed your Icehouse reference...I'm not all that familiar with them outside the Bill context but I understand they were very popular. More pop to my ears, but some of the remixes are not bad if you can track them down.
