New York City help

Greetings-
I'll be flying in to NYC this weekend and wondered if anyone had any heads up on gigs happening around anywhere in the area...I was going up there to see Godflesh but sadly the tour was postponed due to the band not being able to get visas in time due to the government shutdown...I've been searching around and looking for something else of interest but have come up empty...there is a decent looking gig at The Stone(Erik Freidlander and Trevor Dunn) but was looking for something a bit uh,"more"....my tastes are pretty much in league with others on the board...any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated...thx
