It's an interesting model. And while it's not a traditional club per se, I admire Zorn for what he put together there. Almost a very musicians space, by musicians, for musicians. None of the normal bullshit to deal with for the artists playing there. 

One of the reasons Zorn holds those benefit nights each month is to make some money towards upkeep. From what I understand he more or less makes up the shortfall personally.
