i haven't listened to "Prophecy" yet but i like Yoshida's drumming on other Laswell outings i've heard. the "Twinscapes" sound samples do suggest it's a really good album!

I agree, Painkiller is an unexpected very good surprise.I had heard previous bootleged recording of various shows of Painkiller - Yoshida period, and wasn't really convinced. But there, it really works. De: "Octavio Lemos" <[email protected]>

[...] Changing the subject, ... i've been listening to Painkiller's Prophecyand i just love it. I know that some Painkiller "purists" :) missMick Harris, but i think that jazz drummers like Yoshida or Drakepush Laswell to another level. Hiss playing becomes less agressive, it's true, but on the other hand much more dynamic. It's my last year's Laswell favourite together with the Brotzmann/Laswell/Drake/Gania set included inBrotzmann's live box "Long Story Short".
