Solstice concert this SATURDAY in Detroit: Owain Phyfe with special guest Jimmy Perkins

Ah, I knew there was still one reason left to live in Detroit.  Come on people, let's
drive the freakin' cold winter away!!

Dear Victor,

Owain Phyfe has returned from a long road trip to Las Vegas, Mexico, Arizona, Texas and Louisiana.  But that's not why I'm writing.  Longtime fellow musician and friend, Jimmy Perkins (who sings with Owain on "We Be Soldiers Three," and plays penny whistle on "Health to the Company"), will be playing at the concert listed below.  Owain and I are going and are inviting all friends.

Finvarra's Wren at MAMA's coffeehouse for the annual Solstice concert.

Presented annually for over ten years, The Solstice show has become a local holiday favorite. This special performance will feature songs and carols from the Wren band and Wassailing traditions, stories and poetry of the season, and of course, the high powered jig and reel sets the band has become so well known for.

Come early to get a good seat and catch the opening act.
