(From time to time, I like to hear about recommended artists from other fans
of the genre. Here's a note from B.D. Miller I received and I thought I would
pass it on since we have a lot of people from the midwest who might get to
see the artist in Ontario or New York. I'll be adding this link to our
recommended artists list as well.)

"We have been in touch in the past, since my husband and I are devoted Owain and Cantiga fans, having discovered them at the Sterling, New York Renaissance Festival ( http://sterlingfestival.com/renfest/ ). There is a young singer-songwriter who I'd like to commend to you in the highest terms. Her name is Heather Dale, and she is from Toronto. Her recent holiday cd, "This Endris Night," does what Owain chiefly does, that is, makes original presentations of ancient songs. But there's more.
Heather plays the Ontario festival ( http://www.rennfest.com/orf ) and is active in the Society for Creative Anachronism. Her orginal music is fabulous, and she produces practically every aspect of her CDs, including playing all the instrumental tracks. Lately she has been writing inspired by the tales of King Arthur, having one terrific disk out ("Trial of Lancelot') and another all Arthurian in production ("May Queen").
To find more just check out her site: www.heatherdale.com (a very nice site). Her site includes access to downloadable music (mp3 links not pirated)"
