It’s the three remaining members after Edgar’s death (Thorsten, Ulrich, and Hoshiko) - the music is moving back to more improvisational styles.  I think the band name belongs to Edgar’s estate which is managed by Bianca.

Jerome has Loom now, and has mentioned he has no interest in carrying on the TD name himself.

I haven't actively follow what is been going on since Edgar's passing and honestly, never really resolved what my feelings were on the band continuing.  Has there ever been a formal decision what is happening after this next release with what is left of the members and the name?  I know Jerome was against any continuation but I hadn't heard beyond that.
