     Most of them are probably inactive.  If a list
moderator devotes a few hours to manually removing
the deadwood (removing inactive e-mail addresses 
and/or accounts that haven't posted for ten years or
so), there will probably be more like 80 left.  I've 
done it with Yahoo groups I've managed in the past.  
As someone with Asperger's, though, I found it less 
annoying than most people would find it.
