Back in the mid to late 70's, the "live" stuff was often highly structured because it had been written, rehearsed, and then tweaked in the studio later -- in this cases where they weren't fake-live studio productions to begin with. The Sessions recordings seem to be genuinely live with more improvisation like in the early 70's -- and as such, they are of questionable musical coherence much of the time. Stephe
