Hi,
Thanks to Joe I have access to the moderation part of the group, which
allowed me to export emails via a chrome extension.
The result is readable txt files of the emails in a format called mbox,
readable by thunderbird among other email clients. Btw, there is a portable
thunderbird- I tried all this and it worked. Thus, it's very slow,
especially for older messages. From times to times, yahoo stops but it
seems to get better for recent messages in the group.
There's also a lot of files and photos in our yahoo group. I practically
downloaded every file (in the files section) but wouldn't have the time to
pick all the pics (photo section).
Joe has a site with the early messages in yahoo with backup of the old
tadreamlist. I have every mail since November 2005 in my gmail, I also saw
gmail can be backuped.
Maybe we can gather every little element to keep our data.
There is also this yahoo tool to download the data but there's no result
for the moment. Did anyone try it with success?
