ntributions of others.

I am familiar with the Zest Facebook group but when I tried to open the oth=
er group I was declined. It appears to be a closed group. How do I get an i=
nvitation to that group.

Yeah, I've been here since the UWP days, though mostly on 'lurk' mode as th=
ere's not enough time in the day... I participated in the Trees/Leaves dist=
ro and have managed to collect huge quantities of bootleg recordings via me=
mbers of the group over the years.

The two facebook groups are pretty good, and you can join FB and these grou=
ps without getting involved in anything else that happens on FB (just amend=
the settings). I don't post anything on a personal level, have turned off =
notifications, and don't pay attention to anything else on the site unless =
it relates to my day job...

That's what it sounds like to me. It was only a matter of time once they d=
ecided to shut down the web section. The official TD forums have been next=
to dead for years now. And there's been even less traffic here. This kin=
d of online socializing is obsolete in the world of Facebook, Twitter, etc.=
I personally do not subscribe to any social media as I'd rather be spendi=
ng my time doing other things than tracking all the insane activity there.

It does sadden me that this era is going to end. It started with the origi=
nal TADREAM UWP list in the '90s and has been quite the ride since. I'd sa=
y that a quarter century (or more?) has been quite a good run considering h=
ow quickly the internet has grown and evolved in that time.

Maybe we can somehow keep in touch in another way?
