Wow, I=E2=80=99ve been here since the 90s too, albeit in lurk mode for the =
last 20 years. I remember running the [D:] discussion threads back in the d=
ay! To be fair, I haven=E2=80=99t really read much of the emails since thos=
e days, but remained subscribed and everything gets downloaded and archived=
automatically. I keep telling myself one day I will read the intervening 2=
0 years worth of emails!! Thankfully low volume so shouldn=E2=80=99t be too=
hard.
I=E2=80=99ve abandoned Facebook and the likes essentially because they are =
a shitshow. I realised I was spending too much time on those social media s=
ites and they were having a negative effect on my wellbeing so I ditched th=
em and feel so much better as a result.=20=20
I=E2=80=99m hoping the list lives on in whatever format, and maybe in anoth=
er 20 years when I retire I will have the time to go back and read 40 years=
worth of emails!
Good to see so many of the names from the UWP list from back in the day sti=
ll showing up in my mailbox.
