If the list doesn't move to Groups.io, it's not too difficult to set up a
self-hosted mailing list.
I was on Facebook for 5 years but realized how unbelievably addictive and
antisocial it really is. Their insistence on one "Real Name" account and
everything you share being visible by friends, family, acquaintances,
coworkers, and customers is creating a dangerous brew of unrest and
unmanageable chaos. And Mark Zuckerberg does not care in the slightest.
He's laughing all the way to the bank as our society is literally torn
apart. So I've come to have a renewed respect in siloed mailing lists and
forums like this which let us share different facets of our personalities
without sharing "everything".
I'm currently not on Facebook, and even when I very occasionally login to
my partner's account to check on friends and a gardening group I started,
both the Zest and the TD Bootleg group are now sadly locked out unless you
are specially invited. This seems insular and suboptimal, so at this point
I'm oblivious to what's going on in the TD community except what little is
posted here. I'd hate to see the group go away.
