Hi, I'm new to Argus and have a question for you all. At the same time, I want to contribute and thought of doing so by highlighting a few minor issues I found while doing the install and reading the FAQ. Ok, the question first... When argus is run with a -d (daemon mode), what exactly does that mean? If I start it up that way, and then kill the process.... it appears that a new instance starts up. If I want to change the command line parameters... how do I kill the process and leave it dead, so that i can start it up in a different way? Ok, now the feedback. I also realize that these are very minor issues and may be at the bottom of the list for being addressed. - On the Argus FAQ page http://www.qosient.com/argus/faq.shtml - 2.3 The URL to the mailing list archive is broken. - 3.2 The answer to where can I get argus 3.0 has a URL to argus 2.0. The link also does not work. - 6.2 Other program needed to compile argus should include m4. - 9.4 Sentence has a double word "is is". - 10.1 Text says that argus runs as a deamon by default. However the sample argus.config file says that the default is NOT to run as a daemon, yet it's set to run as a daemon. - 12.6 and 12.7 are blank. Thanks, Rich
