Cannot tar or gzip

Hi all,

I am trying to install in AWS argus and argus client, I installed 2 brand
new flavors of linux (centos and Redhat), and I get the following errors:

[ec2-user@ip-10-0-0-152 ~]$ tar -xvzf argus-3.0.8.2.tar.gz

gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

[ec2-user@ip-10-0-0-152 ~]$ gzip -d argus-3.0.8.2.tar.gz

gzip: argus-3.0.8.2.tar.gz: not in gzip format

If I download them to my mac or windows, I can unzip fine.
