Hey Matt,
Yes ... this is an old problem that crops up every now and then ... Argus do=
esn't stop, usually one of the ra* clients generates a record that has a pr=
oblem with one of its data elements, but the complete record should be good a=
nd the file is readable, generally ... How are you generating the file ?? D=
irectly through argus or using radium or another ra* program ???

the current client software exits when it sees this error, but it doesn't ha=
ve to stop, as the rest of the stream/file is readable, just the sub-record i=
s corrupt. =20

there are many techniques to jump past a corrupt record, as all the ra* prog=
rams can start reading from a byte offset rather than a record at a time ...=
finding the offset is not hard as a calculated offset is in each record ...=

The new code that is available, 3.0.8.3, could / should fix this issue, as i=
t has some error correction built in , but you never know. If you can shar=
e one of the bad files, I'd be happy to check it out ...
