I have a device (a phone switch) that will output errors to a serial line. If I plug that serial line into a terminal server (an equinox ELS-16), any thoughts on how my bigbrother host (running on solaris/intel) can watch that line and react if an error is sent to it? (If I could have some script always watching any output to that term server port and putting that output into a file on my bb host, a bb script can easily look at that log file)..I'm just not sure how to have my unix box connect to the term server port to continuously capture the data. thanks. -Bob -- [email protected] #### #### Bob Brown - KB9LFR Harper Community College ## ## ## Systems Administrator Palatine IL USA #### #### Saved by grace -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To unsubscribe from this list, or to subscribe to the bb-digest list send e-mail to mailto:[email protected] with unsubscribe bb -and/or- subscribe bb-digest in the BODY of the message.
