I got this working. It was a mismatch of the BBSTATSLOGS variable. I got them both set to DYNAMIC and then deleted the bad trends.html files and the graphs showed up. John J. I downloaded the larrd file from deadcat and then got the rpm for rrdtool. That didn't work. Although the rrdtool loaded it didn't load the RRDs.pm module so I spent the better part of the afternoon searching for that which ended up going back to the rrdtool source and rolling my own. I read all the warnings that this might not compile but it did. I had to change some of the path settings since my Apache lives in a different spot and I had to adjust the paths for rrdtool on larrd. The issues I had dealt with the BBSTATUSLOGS variable. I found this out around 11 PM last night. It was defaulting to STATIC in the bbdef-server.sh file but was set to DYNAMIC in larrd-config.pl. Once I got them both reflecting DYNAMIC the graphs started showing up. I am not familiar with AIX as I only used it for a short stint in another life at Advanta. Here is a link I found for a binary for AIX http://www.inet.hr/zmp/ibm/rrdtool I found this where I got the source http://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool/index.en.html I tried to do the svn but nothing is easy from here and it never replied so I just grabbed the source. LINUX is a bit easier since you can easily grab all of the missing stuff via yum or going out and getting the source. Sorry I can't shed any other info on it. John J. I know this is not your issue, but Quest is of no help (rrdtool is not supported by them) but how did you guys do it? A few pointers would be appreciated. Thanks. -Larry -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of John BORIS Sent: Tuesday, February 24, 2009 4:31 PM To: [email protected] Subject: {bb} Getting larrd 0.43 to genrate trends.html I am running Big Brother Professional 4.10 on RHES 5 and using larrd0.43. The rrd files are getting generated and in my display page the Trends column is showing up but when I click on the green icon under the trends I get an html message in the browser that the page can't be found. I went to the directory where it is pointing and there is no such file. When I look in the LARRDOUT I see these entries: /usr/local/larrd/disk-larrd.pl: ERROR creating /home/bbd/bbvar/rrd/michael.adphila.org.disk,/dev/hda1.rrd: creating '/home/bbd/bbvar/rrd/michael.adphila.org.disk,/dev/hda1.rrd': No such file or directory I must have something misconfigured. Any pointers TIA John J. Boris, Sr. JEN-A-SyS Administrator Archdiocese of Philadelphia "Remember!
