{bb} Anyone know how to get bb_geo_map.pl working?

I got the script  bb_geo_map.pl from deadcat and installed the
XML::Simple module. Script runs but I get erros for localtime and also
it is show some control Ms like a DOS file but the file doesn't have any
in it. Has anyone got this working and can give me a hint?
