Andy, I worked on BEEPcore roughly a year ago under Win32 (before the restructure). I got I to compile, but hadn't the time to sort out a number of threading issues etc... So I needed to stop on this work. Anyhow, some thoughts below. Keep in mind they are roughly a year old... Rainer > I don't think it's just a case of editing projects - there > seemed to be files like getopt.h missing. (referenced from > beepd.c and beepng.c) It's not a BEEPCore issue - getopt() is natively not available under Win32. I developed (or adapted?) a replacement. I'll check if I have something to contribute when I am back in the office. Anyhow, I think if you do a web search for getopt.c, chances are good you'll find something. Please note that there are also a number of other libs missing, like snprintf()... > Has anyone compiled after a totally clean checkout? > (This used to be a regular morning step at my last job, in a > very XP environment - not so trivial with remote servers!) Win32 seems not to be worked with a lot. When I did a checkout, the project files were broken, too. I fixed them, but with the new layout that won't help. The good news: fixing the project files took far less time than I expected. > I'm not trying to be awkward, honest, and if I can put > together some clearer instructions to get people started > using the project I'm also quite happy to contribute those > back. I'm being pushy because I'm trying to write those instructions. I had written an INSTALL.W32 (or at least started one). I'll check when I am back in the office.
