Andy,

I worked on BEEPcore roughly a year ago under Win32 (before the
restructure). I got I to compile, but hadn't the time to sort out a
number of threading issues etc... So I needed to stop on this work.
Anyhow, some thoughts below. Keep in mind they are roughly a year old...

It's not a BEEPCore issue - getopt() is natively not available under
Win32. I developed (or adapted?) a replacement. I'll check if I have
something to contribute when I am back in the office. Anyhow, I think if
you do a web search for getopt.c, chances are good you'll find
something. Please note that there are also a number of other libs
missing, like snprintf()...

Win32 seems not to be worked with a lot. When I did a checkout, the
project files were broken, too. I fixed them, but with the new layout
that won't help. The good news: fixing the project files took far less
time than I expected.

I had written an INSTALL.W32 (or at least started one). I'll check when
I am back in the office.
