The question of Debian packaging I think is that it would be
   welcome.

That's not a problem. I've already finished the packaging in the
current form. Right now I'm waiting to see whether the current form,
with a complex include structure and many libraries, is what the
designers of this system had in mind.

If I were designing it, I'd flatten the include structure and coalesce
the libraries -- perhaps even to just one library. If there's some
consensus that this is a good idea, then I'd prefer to delay uploading
the packages until the changes are made, to avoid forcing users to
make a major transition.

But It's not a big deal to me either way. I'll package it in whatever
form the developers want it.

The guy who did the last major revision of the build structure is
Bruce Michener, and I am not sure what his status is currenlt for
spending time ome BEEP, but he'd be the best resource for questions
of the current structure of how the build happen.

   [...]

Huston and Marshall are probably the most active at this point I
   suspect.

The code isn't that complicated. I could certainly make the changes
and submit them. I guess what I'm looking for is an opinion from the
current developers as to the desirability of this kind of change.

Do you know if Huston and Marshall read this list, or should I contact
them directly?
