I'd like to suggest adding a "void * user_ptr" field to "struct BP_CONNECTION". The reason for this is that I'm building an application and need a place to attach a private structure that represents the connection. We already have such links for profile registrations and profile instances, so I hope this isn't a controversial change. Please speak up if there's a problem with this; otherwise I'll just make the change in a few days. ------- Also, I'm getting ready to do another round of packaging for Debian. I'm happy to do another CVS-snapshot package, but at some point I'd like to make an official release and package that. There are several open issues at this point: * The renaming of the "core" subdirectory. Has anyone thought of a good name for this? * Whether the include-file restructuring still needs work or is acceptable as is. The last round of discussion ended without a consensus. * Whether the changed code works on Windows systems -- does anyone have the means to build and test this? Are there other platforms that must be tested prior to release? Presumably a release has to be done by one of the project admins, right? If so, will either of you have time for this in the next couple of months?
