Running the examples - tiny problem...

Hi,
      I'm having a small problem trying to run the examples...  I simply
can't get beepd to start correctly.  I'm using the following command line
arguments:

-a default -f beepd.cfg -l test.log -p 10289 localhost

and I get the following output:

About to init Beep-c library...
Beep-c library init successful...
About to load the profiles...
pgmname: (beepd)
dataname: (default)
no profiles loaded, consult log fi
Press any key to continue

Do you have any suggestions?  Also, are you able to fill me in on how to run
beeppng (this may avoid confusion for me down the road).
