Hi,

I am doing vac work for a company who has asked me to look into the pros and cons of beep and in particular the beepcore implementation in java. I am studing Electronic Engeneering with Computer Science, I have just complete my second year. I feel like I have been thrown in the deep end here. Hey you know what they say, that is the best way to lear how to swim. Well I have been able to float, but for the past two days I have battled to get to grips with beep, and the java implementation.

I am sure that for most, if not, all of you my questions will seem exteremly simple, but I will appreciate any help that you can give me.

From what I have read about beep it is ideal for what this company is wanting to do, so I know that my time is not being wasted.

- What is the role of profiles?
- Once I have got a session up how do I make a connection from the Server to the Client (implementing peer-to-peer)?
- When a message is sent to the server, how does the server recieve the message? I am guessing that it has to do with the profile, is that correct?
- Is beepcore-java the best java implementation to use?

Thanks
Sean
