Hi,

I managed to reproduce this on a 4 cpu machine. The problem is that
g_object_ref/unref isn't thread safe and shouldn't be used on a single
object from different threads.

I have committed a fix into the CVS repository that seems to solve this
problem, can you please give it a try?
