Hi Joesph,

Nice to hear you've decided to give it a try.

The steps to try it out are:

 1) Check out roadrunner from CVS (details at http://rr.codefactory.se/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/)
 2) Configure, compile and install (it should work, as we try to keep the CVS
tree at least compiling at all time).
 3) Check out rridxp from CVS (the 'idxp' module)
 4) configure, compile and enjoy (which of course means finding + fixing
bugs and incompleteness, or at least giving feedback ;-)
 5) Keep a shovel around for disposal of coredumps.

You'll find simple test code in the tests/ directory in the idxp source tree.

The test programs included in tests/ don't take any arguments at all, but
rather you'll have to modify the source itself to change its behavior (as to
listening/connecting IP address and such).

As always with development code, there are no guarantees that it will compile,
run, or that it won't melt your computer while setting your pets on fire.

Seriously though, it works pretty well, but documentation is nil.

You have been warned. Please enjoy :-)

/D

PS. There are no idmef messages yet using libidmef (as seen in libidxp), but
for now you'll have to create a character buffer containing the XML.
