I use Octanews as well because I use to use biggulp a
lot. Mainly as a donation more than full time use.  

I very rarely download headers, but use nzb files
extensively.

Currently I am only able to download 40 gigs per month
without paying a huge amount for anything extra that
is way out of my budget.  :) It took me quite a long
time to learn that some people could download over 5
times what I could using BNR2 in a day let alone a
month!!.

In the early days I use to try snd use the free
servers, but have found that it really depends on
where you live in the world:). In the "bnr1 into the
BNR2" days even wrote a simple text file on how to do
it :)

Wouldn't mind learning from you on how to find and use
free servers.

What I have found with the usenet is that days don't
count as they use to....ie....many files are posted a
few days to a week or so later. Also nearly all posts
are complete these days.
