Hi! I've been using XNews for a while but now the newsgroup I usually check has over 720,000 active messages in server and XNews becomes quite sluggish (besides my whole system) because it uses something like 400 MB of RAM (virtual memory actually) to manage all headers. I'm starting with BNR2 and I need some help. I've readed the beginners guide and followed instructions to configure it. I have 5 different accounts in the same server for binaries downloads. First of all, BNR2 refresh headers from only one of those accounts and, if I got it right, BNR2 should refresh headers from all the active connections at the same time and divide volume between them. Besides, it takes very long to refresh that ammount of headers for the first time, but the thing is that as soon as it gets all the headers, it starts to refreshing them from the start, not only the new ones but ALL again. What I'm doing wrong? Or is this a known bug? Please help me to configure my system. TIA! :-) PS: I know my english is very bad, I haven't used it for a while :-) Important Addresses: Post message: [email protected] Group owner: [email protected] BNR homepage: http://www.bnr2.org/ Yahoo!
