At least for my needs. Newsman Pro though came very close. It has all the features I could want. Only thing about it is that it didn't seem to be too tolerant for some things. Like I'd queue up a ton of things for BNR and leave it running. Tried that with NMP and came back with it complaining about this or that. Annoying to say the least. But if BNR had: 1. Ability to use external database (MySQL / SQLServer) as well as it's own internal database 2. Advanced filtering (See scoring type systems) 3. Tighter or more configurable combining code ie let us set it to a percentage. 4. Add the code back in to re-scan and re-create the queue on crash like BNR2 has Those four things and I'd be in heaven with BNR3. NMP has all that and then some but... > I haven't put the time into tracking it down, these days I just > generate my own NZB files using Easynews and use BNR2 to download. NZB files are awesome...when you are looking for something in particular or know what you want. Me, I tend to just browse. Heh reminds me of what they did to the libraries. In the libraries of old they'd often have things organized by section. I could go into the sci-fi / fantasy section and browse. But most now don't do that. So you have to know what you're looking for first. Then you can find it very easily indeed. > > Messages in this topic (0) Reply (via web post) > | Start a new topic > Messages | Database | Polls > Important Addresses: > Post message: [email protected] > Group owner: [email protected] > BNR homepage: http://www.bnr2.org/ > > > Change settings via the Web (Yahoo!
