Have you tried deleting the GrpLst.bnr and downloading the headers again. 

Or in OE if you type in two words seperated by space the newsgroup
will come up in your list of newsgroups that are available, but in BNR
you have to type the full name or part of the name in the exact order
it appears without spaces.
