download directory problem

I've had this a few times.

A lot of file sets are queued to download through the night, but all
of them do not automatically download. They are all set to go into the
same, default, directory. D:\ for example. When examined in the Queue,
those that do not download are in purple (invalid download directory),
but this was the same directory set for everything.

The workaround I've used is to make another directory for this set,
D:\D\ for example, and then it starts working.

Is there anything that can be done to stop this from happening? The
original directory was just fine, all the other file sets went in there.
