Thanks Lenny

Yes I think that I know what you are saying.....but my 22" screen is still not large enough to take in the complete line so that I can see whether the line is an rar file or a par file. The window is fixed in BNR -  ie you go so far and it will skip to the next part.

However, when using altbinz there is a scroll bar at the bottom which allows me to scroll to the right and open the part that much wider and wider. I really don't think that BNR is able to do this.

Wish posting to the usenet had the standard of entering the parts at the beginning instead of the end :) but who would have thought that people wanted to write a story in the subject line???

I really enjoyed BNR1 and have enjoyed the gift of BNR2 as it just was such a great program to use. Still is....But :)  wish someone skilled enough would take it to the next level.

Using nzb files Altbinz is beginning to be the better of the 2 programmes..1 con is that Altbinz is not as flexible as BNR2 with the number of connections you want to use.

Then make the window larger ???

This has been something that 'windows' has been able to do for quite some

time. Do you know how to do this ? There are little lines at the point

between each part (that you select from the options), you can have each as

wide as you want and the window will ...scroll along.

Do you even have the file name (title) bar selected ?

As I have said for so many years there is no other usenet down loader that

can do as much as BNR, but you do have to look at the options sometime.
